FOA PROPOSAL: Questions to Answer
Remember that the only guideline for the amount of time an FOA should take that is in the IB guide is 15 minutes per individual. I would say that a good rule is to have each person speak for 8-10 minutes at a minimum.

FOA PROPOSAL: Questions to Answer
- Topic: FOAs are based on topics related to the course. What idea will you be pursuing in your FOA?
- Texts: What material does your FOA use as a basis? In which texts will you root your discussion? (You should have at least one primary and one secondary source.)
- Format/presentation style: What type of "speech act" will you be doing (speech, interview, campaign pitch, visual presentation, newscast, prezi, etc.)?
- Why is that particular "speech act" the one that best relates to the content you are discussing? In other words, how does the form relate to the content?
- What learning outcome does your FOA show you have accomplished? How will your FOA show your understanding of the topic?
