...and, of course, library.isb.rs: go to the US library website, then click on the databases for research. Global Issues in Context is probably the most relevant for this research task.
You can look for articles, journals, videos, etc., through this database, save and download articles, and get citations!
SAMPLE -
If I want to research discrimination against women in India, I need to start with some research questions to focus my research.
My Initial Research Questions are:
1. What is the status/role of women in India? How are they treated?
2. Why are women seen as inferior to men in India? (What are the causes for this treatment?)
3. Has the situation for women in India worsened over time or improved? In what ways?
FINDING SOURCES
You need to find AT LEAST 5 RELIABLE and USEFUL sources. These will not be the first 5 articles or websites you find, but ones that have the best information to answer your research questions!
RESEARCHING THE TOPIC: Note-taking
Now the real work begins. With your questions and 5 (or more) RELIABLE and USEFUL sources, take notes using the Cornell method, method below, the methods outlined in the note-taking videos above, or another method that works for you.
MAKE SURE YOU KEEP TRACK OF SOURCES AND NOTE ACTUAL QUOTATIONS!
Note-Taking Video 1 is a great approach.
